We brought Joshua to the Indianapolis Museum of Art yesterday. Now that Joshua can go for walks in an umbrella stroller, we can manuver in crowds more easily. Not that I expected a crowd... I thought an art museum would be fairly empty at lunchtime on a Saturday. However, when you factor in the timing (end of the Christmas Break holiday), weather (ten degrees), and price (yes, it is free) many families had the same idea and the parking lot was packed.
We had a good time walking through the American art wing this time. We decided to look at different wings each time we go. I am still in awe of the Hudson River artists' paintings. They are so detailed, yet give such a sense of the wide majesty of undiscovered wilderness. Joshua liked watching people. Mike didn't pick just one artist or type of artwork as his favorite. We had a terrific time.
